Just ones of those days!
I seem to be apologizing for not updating my stories, this is mostly due to school and work commitments. However, today I just want to say that I'm really happy because I got an increase in one of my grades, because me and my group members argued our way to it, and I was able to enroll in one of the classes that I needed, and have been waiting for to graduate. OMG! I can't even tell you how I feel right now. I now need to enroll in one more class to get all the classes I need for my degree. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I know this seems all over the place, but I've been studying for a very long time and I'm just glad that my hard work is getting me somewhere.
I will try to update my stories during winter break. I think I'll have a few weeks off to concentrate on them without any other committments. I want to thank all my patient readers. You inspire me to continuing with my stories and I plan to finish all of them when I can.

Lack of Updates
It seems as though all I have been doing for the past few years is apologize for my lack of updates. I am, once again, begging your pardon for not updating my ongoing stories for months, and in one case about a year (YIKES!!). I am currently finishing up my university studies and have taken a full course load. I am also working two times a week and therefore have no time to do anything but study, go to school, and work. I know, I have a great life!!
I have randomly written a few pages on several of my stories but have not had time to go over them and polish it up to my usual standards. I'm very sorry for not updating and thank you for bearing with me during the end of my studies. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
For my lovely readers I give you a sneak peek at the next chapter of 'The Escort'.
Enjoy,
Lady Eliza
Excerpt:
Hmm…if she squinted, real hard, he looked ten years younger, but Rory still wouldn’t see the appeal in Professor Asher Fleming. Currently, she was tacking up posters for the Wake she and Paris were hosting in honour of the dearly departed. It was a thankless job but someone had to do it.
When Paris had informed her via a phone of the death of her more mature lover, Rory had to get her bearings before she come up with a proper word of condolence. Was there a proper etiquette on how to respond to the death of her good friend’s mature lover and her former professor? She’d have to check with her grandmother about that but not until she knew a polite way to bring up the subject.
Though she didn’t understand Paris’ love fore the elderly professor she felt it was her duty to support Paris in her time of hardship. She was told by an exemplary source, Honor, that loss did unusual things to people. Paris was simply grieving in the only way she knew how, by honouring the great academic and scholar. Throwing the wake made Paris feel useful and Rory would do anything to help her over this loss.
As she tacked on another poster for the wake she heard a familiar voice ask a question and another equally familiar voice answer back.
“I think this is where she lives.”
“I’m flatter gentlemen, I didn’t realize I’d made that much of an impression that you would tack me down like so,” said Rory watching three faces turn and look at her in astonishment.
“Rory what are you doing here?” asked Logan with a puzzled look on his face.
“I live here. Through that door you’re standing in front of.”
“Here? At Brantford?” asked Colin.
“Yes and Yes,” came the cheeky reply.
“Oh well…is your roommate a red heard, by any chance?” asked Finn.
“No. What’s the name of the girl you’re looking for?”
“Oh I dunno her name but she’s about your height and with a glorious head of red hair.”
“Well, I can see that your losing out on a soul mate.”

The Escort
I was a little overwhelmed when I posted the prologue to my new story. I didn’t realize how many people were interested in my writing this sequel. I posted the story at 2:00 pm and the reviews and alerts started coming in when it went public. Wow! I have wonderful readers and I can’t tell you how it makes me feel when people let me know what they liked about the chapter or simply tell me why they didn’t like something.
I haven’t been able to write at a steady pace for a number of years but I simply forgot how it felt to sit down and write a chapter and feel so accomplished. I’m doing my best to write the chapters how I want them and try to have a steady update time.
I would personally like to thank all my readers for their wonderful feedback and I’m so glad to be a part of the Gilmore Girls fandom. I seriously miss that show.

Curious
I love the fact that my readers come from all over the world because sitting at home writing and uploading stories I really don't grasp how far away everyone is. Anyways, Legacy is still being written though I've had less and less time over the last few months and Grown Up is planned but just needs to be written.

Fanfiction.net
I don't know how many people read my blog, but if there is anyone reading it this message will get out there. I've finished another chapter of 'Legacy' and am trying to post it to ff.net but there seems to be a problem with it. Hopefully that can be fixed soon and I can upload the latest chapter.
Best Wishes,
Lady Eliza

Checking In
Well, I'm currently writing the next chapter to Debutante and I think there'll only be three more chapters left, including the one I'm writing. Then I go on to the sequel called 'The Escort' which will skip to season 5. I think I better have the first few chapters of 'The Escort' written before the end of Debutante because it would be easier for the series if I start posting the next story right away. I have some extra stuff that goes with Debutante ready to post on my yahoo group, most likely during the chapter that takes place during the ball. That's all for now.~Lady Eliza

Not Dead
I must apologize for lack of updates in any of my stories. I have been busy all summer with work and I got back to school and needed to get in the hang of it again. I have been writing and I'm happy to say that I got down to writing 'Grown Up' a few weeks ago and am almost ready to post, which is surprising for me since that chapter would just refuse to come out. I had a slight accident with the copy of the old chapter since it disappeared with my old computer so I had to work from scratch and I think that was a good thing since I was able to write it without the previous information still there.
Debutante is taking a while to get into, but I know that I haven't updated Grown Up in two years!!! Yikes I'm such a bad author. I have been doing some work to my powerpoint presentations that I had, I've gotten them all onto Adobe since not many people saw it the first time I put it up.
Hopefully I'll have something to update real soon.
Thank you all for staying in there and for all your support. You are the greatest readers around.

Update
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm back to writing my stories once again and I hope to have something out for both my fics real soon. After the computer crash, it took me a while to recover my notes and old saved disk and such. I've got a new computer, it took longer than I thought it would to buy one. I want to thank all of you for your patience and support.

Set Back
Well, I realize that I haven't been updating the blog or my stories, but my computer went belly-up on me and I lost most of my fanfic files. I have to try to use the amount I saved, which wasn't a lot, and try to salvage all the work that I had on my hard drive. I will try to get something out for my stories for the holiday season. Just wanted to let you all know what the problem was.
I was also editing 'Life and Times of a Socialite' but all that hard work went down the drain when I had to reboot my computer. But I will not let this deter me. I will continue writing and hopefully have something to put online by the end my winter break.

Review
From: RoryLoganFan
This is a really great story! Update soon! I think you should correct Logan's assumption that Rory is part of his world. She may be entering it, but she sure wasn't part of ti growing up. I think it's rather judgmental that he automatically assumes things about her. I didnt' like that comment he made outside the Hayden estate. BUt this story is amazing! UPdate soon!
Alright, about Logan's comment. I put that comment in there because I wanted everyone to see how Logan thinks. He is a suave, naive, spoiled, young man who has not the slightest idea as to what is out there in the world. Yes, he knows certain things, but he has not had a chance to go out in the world or to experience it. To him Rory is just as priveledged as he is because she has similar benefits as he does through her grandparents. Logan doesn't know how Lorelai worked as a maid and that she and Rory lived in a potting shed for several years before she bought the house in Stars Hollow. As well, you've got to see it from his point of view, here is Rory lecturing him about getting away from the uppercrust when she's running full speed ahead to expereince that world. Rory is going to inherit both the Hayden and Gilmore money. The way Logan sees it she's being rather hypocritcal. This Logan that I'm writing is not the worldweary and experienced individual that we see at Yale, he's only eighteen here and thinks he knows everything. I hope that helps and thank you for reading and reviewing.

Cleaning Day!!
I procrastinate on everything it's just become a habit. Most likely I will be up until the wee hours of the morning the day it's due finishing it off. I really shouldn't put things till the last minute, but it's just become a habit. I think most university students may agree with me on this.
I also have to write the next chapter of Debutante, which, thank god, I know what I'm doing in this chapter. I also need to get into Grown Up. The Harry Potter fanfic I'm writing is so much easier to write than any fic I've written since Life and Times of a Socialite. The stuff just comes to me as I'm writing, its really weird.
If anyone's noticed, but I've decided to add in a countdown till the next Harry Potter movie, my favourite book Order of the Pheonix. I cannot wait to see it. Too bad it's about nine months away. Well, enough of my ramblings.
See ya,
~Lady Eliza
Daylight Savings Time (Fall back)
I'm delighted to have had so many reviews for my fanfiction come in. I haven't gotten to reading all of them as of yet since my computer is acting all weird so I'm going to let it be for a while until tomorrow. I'm glad to be on top of the writing of my fics since I've missed doing that.
It's odd, not many people have checked out the Debutante Ball dress here but I guess not everyone is as obsessed with fashion as I am. Tomorrow I shall concentrate on writing two of my essays that are due in about a week both of which I still haven't started. Although History and Sociology aren't that bad, but I also have to study for my accounting quiz coming up and that's going to take a while since I have to sit at my desk and do several problems and I'll most likely get distracted with this or that and I cannot afford to do so.
Toodles for now,
~Lady Eliza

SORRY!!
Yes I'm still alive and I humbly apologize for not posting any of my stories when I said I would during the summer. I was set to do so, but lets just say that life got in the way of my doing anything this summer. My brother and I both had health scares and I really just set aside my GG fanfics and concentrated on other things.
But on a happy note I've started writing little by little and will continue to do so until I finish both my GG fanfics, both of which I have planned out. I've gotten a clean bill of health from my doctor, but we're still waiting on my brother who has to go to more tests to know whether any procedures need to be done or not.
I've gotten your reviews and many people enquiring about the fic, and I'm happy that people are still interested in reading it. I replied back to some of those reviews, but I apologize if I missed some of you. This note is to let you know that I know it can be frusterating to wait for authors to update and I really appreciate most of your patients.
'Grown Up Socialites' irritated me, but I'm still working at it and it's coming along, although I have no clue when I will update it since this chapter just won't come out the way I want it to. I'm also writing a Harry Potter fanfiction which I have been inspired to write, don't ask me why but one day I just sat down and wrote several chapters in one sitting. I haven't posted any of it though I've got about ten chapters written.
Thank you all for your support of my fics and I really appreciate your patience and please let me know about your take on the fic and what you would like to see happen.
Wishing you all well
~Lady Eliza
P.S. Here is the picture of Rory's Debutante Ball gown which I remember saying I will post with chapter 8.

Sneak Peeks
Rogan Exchange Fic:
Logan Huntzberger was pondering his life the week before winter break. He was in the Yale courtyard thinking of all the things that occurred to him in the past year or so. He couldn’t believe how things ended with Rory. She was his first ever girlfriend and he had gone and ruined it with his idiocy. When he had told his sister Honor that he and Rory had broken up he had felt like he had let a vital part of himself go.
Rory had meant so much to him in the little time they had been together, plus she had become a constant in his love life. He had been jealous of her ex-boyfriend John…Jack…Jake…or maybe it was Jethro…who knew?
Debutante:
Lorelai Gilmore the 1st aka Trix was awaiting her great-granddaughter for tea. She had come to Hartford after hearing murmurings from several of her acquaintances that Rory was going to be presented into society. Now, she had nothing against the tradition since she herself had come out many years ago in London; she, of course, had been presented to the Queen. None the less, the matriarch of the Gilmore clan was not going to miss such a vital part of the proud and joy of the household.
Trix was quite upset that she was not notified about such an important aspect of Rory’s life. She believed she was kept in the dark because of Emily. Trix knew that woman did not like her, but to blatantly discard family loyalty so she could have Rory and Lorelai in her clutches was just plain rude. In her day such behaviour would’ve never taken place, but at least she was taking action.
The Grown Up Socialites:
Lorelai Gilmore was pondering what outfit to wear that morning when she realized her house was silent. That wasn’t odd at this time in the morning since Luke had probably taken the kids to school at Exeter Academy. She couldn’t believe her little munchkins were so grown up. Where do the years go?
Yuck! Now she was talking like an old person and she’d vowed a long time ago never to do that. She tried not to think about the fact that her eldest child was not talking to her. She knew there were a lot of things about ‘The Jess situation’ Rory had no idea about. For example, Rory would blow her top should she find out about Lorelai’s hand in removing Jess from the vicinity the last time around.
What a mess things were turning into. She wanted this stalemate between she and Rory to end as soon as possible, but after the happenings at Luke’s party two days ago she knew that wasn’t likely.
Lorelai and her daughter were growing apart. Yes, they were always going to be best friends and have their movie nights, but Rory had become the woman that Lorelai was supposed to be. Emily and Rory had more in common nowadays than Lorelai and Rory. She didn’t want Rory to have that relationship with Emily.
Lorelai sighed and turned away from her mirror. She absolutely hated the way things were turning out with her and Rory. What was a mother to do than protect her children?
The knock at the door took her mind off of the state of things between her and her best friend. She ran down the stairs since the person on the other side seemed to want to knock the damn thing down.
“I’m coming, I’m coming hold your damn horses,” yelled Lorelai.
She opened the door and was about give the person on the other end a piece of her mind when she froze at the sight before her. “Oh my god…”
I know I'm cruel, but hope you like that little sneak peek in what's coming up next. Tell me what you think.

Just Checking In
Sorry I haven't updated this blog nor my fics as often as many of you would prefer. I've been studying for several tests at school so I haven't been home often and thus not being able to update my fics. Hopefully during the winter break I'm going to be able to get in some long writing time. I hope I can finish writing a chapter of Grown Up Socialites without abandoning it and writing Debutante. Thank you all for your support of Deb, I was overwhelmed by all the reviews, but I appreciate that many of you like it.
I also need to start writing my Rogan Exchange Story that has been sitting around for a while now. The due date is creeping near and I need to get cracking. The way I'm going to be writing for the Rogan Exchange is going to be a first for me, *crosses fingers* I really hope I don't embarrass myself. *sigh*
Gotta go,
Lady Eliza
